The Lord said in Isaiah 43:18-19
“Do not remember the former things,
Or ponder the things of the past.
“Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even put a road in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.
What a beautiful promise! When God forgives us, He also forgets. He restores us, and His desire is for His children to forget and remember no more! He wants us to claim "ask for, proclaim, call aloud" His promises for the future and forget our past failures. The Lord said, " For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
If our Creator, in His unmeasurable love for us, mercy, and grace, remembers no more, why should His children remember what He has forgotten?
